THE OPPORTUNITY
Our client is a highly respected specialist consultancy, providing expert advice, training and consultancy services to contractors, local authorities, utility companies and organisations operating within the infrastructure and highways sector.
As part of their long-term growth plans, they are looking to recruit an ambitious and commercially minded Business Consultant to work directly alongside the Managing Director.
No previous Street Works experience is required. We're looking for someone with excellent commercial awareness, outstanding communication skills and the ambition to learn a specialist industry from one of its most respected consultants.
This is a genuinely unique opportunity to develop your career within a niche consultancy. You'll receive hands-on mentoring, gain exposure to every aspect of the business and gradually develop into a trusted consultant capable of leading client relationships, delivering presentations and helping shape the future of the company.
If you're someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and isn't afraid to roll your sleeves up when needed, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.
ROLE SUMMARY
Working closely with the Managing Director, you'll learn every aspect of the business, gaining a thorough understanding of the consultancy services, client relationships and commercial operations that underpin its success.
No two days will be the same. One day you may be attending meetings with local authorities, the next delivering a presentation, supporting a client with technical advice or helping develop new business opportunities.
Initially, you'll work alongside the Managing Director, learning the business from the ground up. Over time, you'll take increasing responsibility for client relationships, consultancy projects, presentations and business development, making the role your own while helping drive the future success of the business.

· Be prepared to take ownership of projects and responsibilities as your experience develops.
· Travel when required to support clients across the UK.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
We're far more interested in your attitude, ambition and communication skills than your previous industry experience.
You'll be someone who enjoys learning, thrives on responsibility and wants to build a long-term career within a growing consultancy.
You may currently work in project management, account management, operations, training, consultancy, business development or another client-facing role where you've developed strong commercial awareness and relationship-building skills.
