Overview
We are seeking a friendly and proactive Retail Sales Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, assisting with product display and organisation, supporting the overall store operations, operating a till with scales.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for serving customers with a retail background, along with strong organisational and communication skills. This position offers an engaging environment for individuals eager to develop their retail experience within a vibrant setting.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products related to fresh fruit and vegetables
- Maintain attractive displays and ensure shelves are well-stocked and organised.
- Process sales transactions accurately using a till and a scale.
- Support stock management by receiving deliveries, organising stockroom areas, and conducting stock counts.
- Answer customer enquiries both in person and over the phone.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is advantageous.
- Knowledge of fresh produce is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and customer service skills.
- Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently when required.
- A friendly attitude with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work during store hours, including weekends
