Little Explorers Eastry are looking for a self employed cleaner/housekeeper to join our team. We cater for children aged from 3 months up to the age of 11, as we provide nursery care and wraparound care for school aged children. We have a fantastic building with lots of exciting outdoor space for our children to explore.
The nursery opened in January 2025 and is owned by two qualified teachers who have a passion for giving children the very best start in life.
The nursery is operational Monday – Friday all year round. We are closed for 2 weeks over Christmas and on Bank Holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring the nursery is a clean and safe environment for children, colleagues and families.
Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene of the children's bathroom and nappy change areas.
Carrying out daily laundry as required.
Cleaning and closing down the kitchen.
Setting up breakfast equipment.
Contributing positively to the culture and reputation of the nursery.
Adhering to Nursery policies and procedures which includes the Safeguarding and Health and Safety of all children.
Desirable requirements:
Experience in the role of a Cleaner or Nursery Practitioner
Food Safety Level 2 or above
Knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety requirements
Good communication skills
Be available to work for 1.5 hours per day before 8am or after 6pm Monday to Friday.
