The Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager, or an ambitious current Deputy Manager who is ready to take the next step in their career, to lead our setting with confidence, vision, and a genuine commitment to early years education.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional with strong leadership potential and experience in supporting occupancy growth, developing and mentoring teams, and maintaining exceptional standards of care, learning, and safeguarding.
Working closely with two supportive owners, you will receive the guidance and backing needed to grow into the role, shape the nursery's continued success, create an inspiring environment for children and staff, and ensure every family receives an outstanding experience.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide strong leadership and day-to-day management of the nursery
· Drive and maintain high occupancy through excellent parent engagement and reputation
· Mentor, support, and develop a team of early years practitioners
· Ensure compliance with all EYFS, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements
· Maintain outstanding standards of care, education, and health & safety
· Build positive relationships with children, parents, and the wider community
· Oversee curriculum planning to ensure rich, engaging learning experiences
· Manage budgets, staffing, and operational performance effectively
Requirements
· Significant experience in an early years leadership/management role
· A genuine passion for early years education and child development
· Proven track record of increasing and maintaining high nursery occupancy
· Strong experience mentoring, coaching, and developing staff teams
· Excellent knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding practices
· Level 3 qualification in Early Years (minimum) – Level 5 or above desirable
· Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills
· Commitment to creating a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment
