Little Voices Kingston is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and committed tutor to join our fantastic team
from September.
This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys inspiring young performers and is confident teaching
Drama, Singing and LAMDA to children aged 4–12 years.
The Role:
As our Lead Tutor, you will:
- Teach and lead weekly after-school Drama, Singing and LAMDA classes for children aged 4–12 working alongside our assistant tutor.
- Plan and prepare all lessons each week. One week singing, the next week drama and LAMDA prep from the New year
- Select and prepare material for our Christmas class/event in December.
- Select and prepare LAMDA examination pieces for exams in June.
- Create a fun, nurturing and high-quality learning environment where every child can thrive.
- Write short progress reports for each student at the end of Christmas term and Summer term.
Commitment
This is a term-time position running throughout the school year.
We’re looking for someone who can commit to the role consistently, so it is not suitable for working actors or
performers unless you can guarantee your availability without requiring regular cover.
Support & Training
We provide full support and training for our tutors, including LAMDA training where required. Previous
experience teaching the LAMDA syllabus is beneficial but not essential.
We also take care of all lesson administration, including:
- LAMDA exam entries
- Registers provided
- Class management and communications
Requirements
Applicants should have: An Enhanced DBS check (or be willing to obtain one) & on update service
- Two professional references
- Safeguarding and
- All lead tutors must have First Aid training paediatric level 3
(We can help you book this if needed)
- Enthusiasm, professionalism, great communication and organisation are an absolute must.
- a passion for delivering outstanding teaching to children aged 4–12
- Living ideally less than 1 hour commute to Kingston upon Thames
