We are looking for an experienced CNC lathe Setter / Operator to join our busy and growing machining team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist to become part of a well-established company manufacturing high-quality precision components.
Experience with Siemens 828D controls is highly desirable, although applicants with experience of other CNC control systems are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting and operating CNC lathe machines.
- Producing precision components to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Selecting and setting tooling, work offsets and fixtures.
- Carrying out first-off and in-process inspections using measuring equipment.
- Maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy and housekeeping.
- Working efficiently to achieve production targets.
- Reporting any tooling, machine or quality issues.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a CNC lathe Setter / Operator.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Competent in the use of precision measuring equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
