We are looking for a hard working and motivated assistant manager to support our restaurant manager in the day to day running of a busy Fish & Chip shop.
Previous supervisory experience in a food establishment is a must.
Core responsibilities
- Staff leadership, running high volume shifts with confidence and positivity.
- Operational support, supporting the manager and deputising in his absence.
- Customer relations, ensuring all customers have a positive experience and dealing with any issues that arise.
- Inventory and Finance, tracking and ordering stock. Managing and being responsible for cash in the premise.
- Compliance, ensuring all health and safety measures are adhered to.
Skills needed
- Team leading & delegation. Having the ability to motivate a team and keep a high morale during very busy periods. Overseeing the team when it is quiet and ensuring tasks are completed.
- Problem solving. Able to make effective decisions under pressure.
- Organisation. Time management skills and being proactive for the days ahead. Balancing administrative and floor duties.
- Communication. Strong interpersonal skills to deal with employees and members of the management team.
Candidate must be available to work evenings, weekends, school holidays and bank holidays.
There is the option to make this a permanent position for the right candidate.
