Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations. Responsibilities
- Wash, clean, and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen team.
- Support chefs in organising ingredients and supplies to ensure efficient workflow.
- Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout the shift.
- Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed.
- Support serving staff during busy periods by providing clean crockery and cutlery as needed.
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to create a safe working environment.
- Assist with stock rotation and inventory checks when required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is essential.
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, or culinary practices is advantageous.
- Experience working in hospitality or serving roles will be considered a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
