UPVCSTORE is an established online retailer specialising in fenestration hardware and replacement door and window components. We supply trade and retail customers across the UK through our website, www.upvc-store.co.uk, as well as major marketplaces including Amazon and eBay.
We operate a busy, fast-paced warehouse operation focused on accuracy, efficiency and customer satisfaction. As the business continues to grow, we are looking for a reliable and experienced Warehouse Operator to join our team.
Role Overview
The successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day packing and dispatch of customer orders, preparing and sending stock shipments to Amazon FBA, and managing customer returns.
This is a hands-on warehouse position that requires accuracy, organisation and the ability to work independently. You will be expected to take ownership of your responsibilities, follow established systems and ensure orders and stock movements are completed correctly.
This is not an apprenticeship position. We are looking for someone with previous workplace experience who can quickly learn our products and systems and become a dependable member of the warehouse team.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking, checking, packing and preparing customer orders for dispatch
- Ensuring the correct product, size, colour and quantity are sent
- Packing products securely to avoid damage during transit
- Printing packing documents, invoices and courier labels
- Organising completed parcels for daily courier collections
- Preparing and processing Amazon FBA shipments
- Counting, checking, labelling and boxing products for Amazon
- Applying Amazon product and carton labels accurately
- Recording carton contents, quantities, weights and dimensions
- Preparing Amazon shipments for courier or pallet collection
- Receiving, opening and processing customer returns
- Inspecting returned products for damage, use, missing components or incorrect packaging
- Accurately recording the condition and outcome of returned products
- Returning suitable products to stock
- Separating damaged, incomplete or unsellable products
- Updating returns and stock information on company systems
- Supporting stock management and inventory accuracy
- Receiving and checking supplier deliveries
- Supporting goods-in and goods-out processes
- Putting stock away in the correct warehouse locations
- Replenishing picking locations when required
- Carrying out stock checks and helping investigate discrepancies
- Operating an electric pump truck to move pallets, with training provided
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised warehouse and packing area
- Accurately updating systems and internal records
- Supporting operational improvements within the warehouse
- Assisting with other reasonable warehouse duties as required
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a warehouse, fulfilment, packing, dispatch, stock-control or returns role
- Reliable, punctual and able to maintain consistent attendance
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to work accurately while maintaining a good level of productivity
- Comfortable taking responsibility for completing daily tasks
- Organised and able to follow established systems and processes
- Competent computer skills and confidence using online systems
- Comfortable checking product codes, quantities, sizes and variations
- Able to identify and report stock, order or returns discrepancies
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team
- Willing to learn a detailed range of door and window hardware products
- Able to take direction and respond positively to feedback
- Strong work ethic and a proactive approach
- Physically capable of warehouse duties, including standing, lifting, packing and moving stock
- Legal right to work in the UK
- Able to reliably commute to Brierley Hill, DY5 1QA
Desirable Experience
Experience in any of the following would be an advantage:
- Amazon FBA shipment preparation
- E-commerce order fulfilment
- Processing customer returns
- Shopify, Amazon or eBay orders
- StoreFeeder or similar order-management software
- Courier booking and shipping-label systems
- Stock-control or warehouse-management systems
- Working with products that have multiple sizes, colours and variations
- Preparing cartons or pallets for courier collection
Full training will be provided on our specific products, procedures and computer systems. However, applicants should already have experience of working in a commercial workplace and understand the importance of accuracy, reliability and productivity.
Pay & Contract
- £13.00 per hour
- 30 hours per week
- Approximately £20,280 gross per year, based on 52 working weeks
- Part-time, permanent position
- In-person role with no remote or hybrid working

- Tuesday: 9:00am–3:00pm
- Wednesday: 9:00am–3:00pm
- Thursday: 9:00am–3:00pm
- Friday: 9:00am–3:00pm
- No weekend work
