About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and commercially driven Business Development Manager to join our growing team within the electrical wholesale industry. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales professional who is passionate about developing new business, building long-term customer relationships, and driving revenue growth.
Working within the area, you will identify and secure new opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within your area.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new existing customers.
- Promote the company's extensive range of electrical products and value-added services.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, and close sales opportunities.
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts to maximise revenue and profitability.
- Work closely with branch teams to ensure excellent customer service and product availability.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
- Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
- Maintain accurate records of customer activity using the company's CRM system.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Proven experience in business development or field sales within the electrical wholesale industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical products and the electrical supply chain.
- An established network of electrical contractors and commercial customers would be beneficial.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with a passion for winning new business.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify sales opportunities.
- Good IT skills and experience using CRM systems.
- A full UK driving licence.
