The Role
Quayside Fireplaces is looking for an experienced Fireplace & Stove Installer / Multi-Trade Installer to join our team.
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and experienced tradesperson with a can-do attitude who takes pride in their work.
This is a varied, hands-on role working at customers’ properties across Kent. The successful candidate must be comfortable working independently as well as alongside other members of the team.
Previous relevant trade and installation experience is essential for this position.
Responsibilities
Your day-to-day work will include:
- Installation of fireplaces and stoves
- Carrying out associated building and multi-trade work
- Working at different customer locations throughout Kent
- Safely lifting and handling heavy stoves, fireplaces and materials
- Working from ladders and at height when required
- Completing installations neatly and to a high standard
- Working independently and using your own initiative
- Working alongside other members of the installation team
- Maintaining a professional and respectful attitude when working in customers’ homes
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous relevant installation and/or multi-trade experience
- Have a full driving licence
- Be reliable and punctual
- Be physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting
- Be confident working from ladders and at height
- Have good practical and problem-solving skills
- Be able to work independently without constant supervision
- Work well as part of a team
- Have a positive, flexible and can-do attitude
- Take pride in producing high-quality work
- Be professional and presentable when dealing with customers
Relevant fireplace, stove, chimney, building or trade qualifications would be an advantage and will be taken into consideration when agreeing salary.
Hours & Pay
This is approximately a 50-hour-per-week position, initially offered on a temporary-to-permanent basis.
Salary is negotiable depending on experience, qualifications and overall skill level.
