As we continue to grow, we are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and energetic Multi-Sports Coach to join our team.
About the Role
As a Multi-Sports Coach, you will be responsible for planning and delivering fun, engaging, and inclusive sports sessions across our breakfast clubs, after-school clubs, holiday programmes, and primary school P.E. lessons. You will be working alongside a like-minded team between the hours of 7.30am and 6.00pm, Monday to Friday.
You will play an important role in encouraging children to develop their physical skills, confidence, teamwork, resilience, and enjoyment of being active while creating a positive and supportive environment where every child feels valued.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver Engaging Sports Sessions

Plan and deliver high-quality, age-appropriate multi-sports sessions for children aged 4–12.

Introduce children to a wide variety of sports, games, and physical activities.

Adapt sessions to meet the needs, abilities, and interests of all participants.

Encourage participation, teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence through enjoyable activities.
Breakfast, After School & Holiday Clubs
-
Supervise children during breakfast clubs, after-school clubs, and holiday programmes, ensuring a safe, caring, and positive environment.

Lead exciting sporting activities that keep children active, engaged, and having fun.

Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development through structured play and physical activity.
Primary School P.E.
-
Plan and deliver structured, engaging P.E. lessons in line with the Curriculum for Excellence.

Teach a broad range of sports and physical activities while developing fundamental movement skills.

Encourage healthy lifestyles and a lifelong enjoyment of physical activity.
Child Development
-
Recognise and support the individual needs of each child.

Adapt activities to ensure every child can participate and experience success.

Celebrate achievements and encourage personal development and confidence.
Teamwork & Communication

Work closely with school staff, childcare practitioners, and fellow sports coaches to deliver high-quality programmes.

Maintain positive relationships with parents and carers, providing feedback where appropriate.

Organise, prepare, and maintain sports equipment.

Contribute ideas for new sports, games, themed events, and holiday activities.
Health & Safety
-
Deliver sessions safely and in accordance with ELOSCN policies and procedures.

Carry out appropriate risk assessments and equipment checks.

Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection at all times.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
-
Experience coaching children in sport, physical education, or multi-sports.

Relevant coaching qualifications through recognised governing bodies or equivalent experience.

A passion for inspiring children through sport and physical activity.
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
-
Ability to motivate and engage children of all ages and abilities.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Desirable
-
First Aid qualification.
-
Child Protection/Safeguarding training.
-
Experience working within childcare, out-of-school care, or primary school settings.
-
Full UK driving licence (desirable but not essential).
