Furniture Warehouse is a rapidly expanding furniture retailer with 8 stores across the East Midlands, specialising in high quality, low cost furniture for every room in the home. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Manager to join the team in our BRAND NEW BOURNE STORE, opening in the former Kinnisway building, in South Street Car Park.
Reporting to the Directors, this is an extremely varied role not necessarily typical of a retail store, including wrapping/unwrapping, building and moving furniture, actively selling to customers and dealing with your customers during the duration of their journey shopping with us inclusive of the after-sales process.
The candidate should get a kick out of providing a first class customer experience. An amiable and presentable character is essential in this customer-facing role, you must be comfortable approaching and conversing with those that enter the store.
Since the job is so varied, flexibility is also essential, changing between building a Wardrobe and selling to a customer in the blink of an eye. The nature of the job dictates that a reasonable level of physical fitness is also a must.
You'll also need excellent administration skills and should be familiar with office applications and stock systems.
This is a FULL TIME role based on 40 hours per week hours a week on a 5 day rota with 2 rest days each week. Workdays may also includes weekends and public holidays.
The basic salary is £35,000 pa with commission potential of an additional £10,000 pa. You will also benefit from a generous staff discount programme and as a result of company expansion, opportunities for progression are frequent for those that regularly go above and beyond.
