The role
We’re seeking an energetic and disciplined individual who will join our team full-time at our premises in Darley Dale.
Responsibilities will be to pick items as specified on customer orders from stock located over a number of floors in our warehouse, also to assist in handling inbound goods, stock replenishment, and general warehouse stock maintenance.
You will need to be able to work as part of a team and use simple lifting equipment as required. Training will be given in these aspects with a potential progression to fork-lift operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Order Picking: Accurately pick items from shelves using pick sheets.
- Inventory Management: Handle inbound goods, replenishment, and warehouse stock maintenance.
- Equipment Operation: Safely use warehouse equipment (e.g., LLOPs, pump trucks) as required.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, fulfilment, or logistics environment is preferred, but not always necessary as training is provided.
- Accuracy: Excellent attention to detail is crucial for order accuracy.
- Reliability: Punctual and motivated to work as part of a team.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and handle manual lifting.
Flexibility: Willingness to work flexibly to accommodate deliveries which may involve an early morning start
Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
