Responsibilities
- Cleaning resident bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas to a high standard.
- Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including offices, hallways, restrooms, and common spaces, ensuring they are spotless and well-maintained.
- Use appropriate cleaning tools and supplies to carry out tasks efficiently and safely.
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet paper to ensure continuous availability.
- Follow established health and safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or contamination.
- Maintaining infection prevention and control procedures.
- Ensuring cleaning equipment and materials are used safely and stored correctly.
- Replenishing supplies such as toiletries, soap, and cleaning products.
- Reporting maintenance issues, hazards, or concerns to the appropriate person.
- Supporting a positive and friendly environment for residents and visitors.
Requirements
- Proven experience in health care cleaning or janitorial work is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, lifting, and moving equipment for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills to complete assigned tasks efficiently within scheduled hours.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning chemicals and safety procedures is advantageous.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the facility’s operational hours.
