A welcoming and ambitious mixed secondary school in Enfield is seeking confident, academically strong graduates to join their team as Academic Mentors / Student Mentors from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates looking to gain hands-on school experience before teacher training, educational psychology, PGCE study or a long-term career within education.
The Role:
- Supporting students across KS3–KS5 within lessons
- Delivering targeted academic interventions and booster sessions
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to students needing additional guidance
- Acting as a positive role model within a mainstream secondary setting
- Supporting student confidence, engagement and progress across core subjects
The school is particularly interested in graduates with previous tutoring, mentoring, coaching or youth work experience.
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
- A strong academic background and a degree from a reputable university
- Previous tutoring or mentoring experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine passion for education and supporting young people
- An interest in teaching, psychology, pastoral care or education long-term
