We’re looking for a reliable and passionate Chef/Cook to join our new team at The Southfork Cafe & Deli.

Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and quality standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations
- Manage food production processes, ensuring timely delivery of meals during service hours
- Oversee food safety procedures, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across the kitchen
- Assist in menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and inventory control
- Ensure all food served meets presentation standards and customer expectations
- Lead by example in delivering excellent hospitality and serving customers when required
- Monitor kitchen operations to optimise workflow and minimise waste
Experience
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Demonstrable supervising experience, with leadership skills that motivate team members
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary arts
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
- Experience in managing food production schedules and inventory control
- Ability to work under pressure during busy service periods while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
- Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously
