Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Showroom Manager for our bathroom and kitchen showroom in Hereford which is currently going through an exciting transition. Currently a premium kitchen, bathroom and tiling showroom based in Hereford, we import exclusively from Europe and work with architects, interior designers and private clients to deliver spaces defined by material, proportion and craft.
We are at a defining moment in our story. A full rebrand is underway and the showroom is being transformed so this is a great opportunity to shape and build the role as we embark on a new chapter. Therefore this role is foundational.
This is a rare role. We are not looking for someone to process orders or fit clients into pre-set packages. We are looking for a designer with genuine craft — someone who can sit across from a client, earn their trust, understand what they actually want (which is often not what they say they want), and then design a space that exceeds their expectations.
You will work directly with the founders during a handover period, learning the business, the supplier relationships and the European product portfolio in depth. Over time, this role carries real potential to lead the design function entirely.
Design & Client Work
- Lead client design consultations from first brief through to final specification
- Produce detailed room designs, mood boards and material specifications using CAD / or similar software
- Present concepts with confidence — adapting in real time based on client feedback
- Manage each project through the full sales process from enquiry to signed order
- Build long-term relationships with private clients, architects and interior designers
- Maintain a high closing rate by guiding decisions with knowledge and authority
Product & Showroom
- Develop deep knowledge across our Italian kitchen, bathroom and tiling ranges
- Work with the showroom manager to keep displays current and correctly presented
- Stay ahead of design trends in Italian and European kitchen and bathroom design
- Attend supplier days and, where possible, trade visits to Italy
- Contribute ideas for new product introductions and display vignette concepts
- Minimum 5 years in a kitchen or bathroom design role within a premium or independent showroom
- Proven track record converting high-value design consultations into confirmed sales
- Proficient in CAD design software — Winner, ArtiCAD, KD Max or equivalent
- A genuine eye for materials, finishes and considered spatial design
- Confident presenter with architects, interior designers and private clients alike
- Highly organised with strong project management instincts
