THE ROLE
The Assistant Plant Administrator is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the Plant Department, ensuring the efficient management of company plant, machinery, vehicles, tools and equipment across multiple civil engineering and concrete structures projects. the role involves maintaining accurate records, supporting compliance requirements, coordinating servicing and inspections, and assisting with the allocation and utilisation of plant assets to maximise operational efficiency, dealing with suppliers, hire/off equipment, arrange transport and dealing with breakdowns.
Previous practical experience working with construction plant, machinery, or equipment is highly desirable, as it provides valuable knowledge or plant operations, maintenance requirements, and industry compliance standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Plant Administration
- Maintain accurate records of all company-owned and hired plant, machinery, vehicles, and equipment.
- Process plant requisitions, transfers, allocations, and returns.
- Update plant asset registers and management systems.
- Monitor plant utilisation and assist with tracking plant movements between projects.
- Ensure all plant documentation is current and correctly filed.
- Fielding incoming calls and responding to customer and site queries.
Pay: From £28,000.00 per year
