Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles to identify faults and maintenance needs
- Diagnose issues using schematics and technical manuals
- Perform repairs and maintenance on vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, brakes, and electrical components
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment for assembly and repair tasks
- Repair or replace damaged parts, including welding when necessary
- Follow safety procedures during all repair activities, including heavy lifting and equipment handling
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly to clients
- Assist in the assembly of vehicle components during manufacturing or repair processes
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Experience in vehicle assembly, maintenance, and repair processes
- Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues efficiently
- Knowledge of equipment repair techniques and preventative maintenance practices
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional approach when interacting with clients
- Capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks safely and effectively
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple repairs simultaneously
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
