Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team for Summer Relief for 5 days from 3rd August 2026 - 6th August 2026.
£15.00 per hour. All equipment will be provided.
Role is ideally suitable for those living in the Tendring but is open to anyone who is willing to travel.
Contract is initially just for this week.
The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness within a Primary School.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in commercial cleaning, demonstrating attention to detail and a proactive approach to their work. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who take pride in creating tidy and hygienic spaces, ensuring a welcoming environment.
Duties
- Perform thorough deep cleaning of all class room areas, including floors, surfaces, and fixtures, toilet areas and corridors.
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies to ensure effective sanitation
- Dispose of waste responsibly
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during cleaning procedures
- Report any maintenance issues or damages identified during cleaning tasks
- Adhere to scheduled cleaning routines and complete tasks within allocated timeframes
- Maintain a professional appearance and behaviour while on-site
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail with an organised approach to tasks
- Ability to work independently, unsupervised.
- Good time management skills to prioritise duties effectively
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning activities such as COSHH.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift light equipment or materials as required
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness at all times
