Personality
You love finding solutions to problems & challenges and have a thirst for knowledge.
You're always looking for ways to improve things, and you're not afraid of asking when you don't understand something. You know perfect doesn't exist; instead, you set your bar high & adopt an attitude of continuous improvement.
You're someone people come to for help. You love it. It doesn't sit right with you when you can't help someone, even if that's just putting them in touch with someone who can.
You're driven and ambitious to make progress in your career. You're keen to learn more about how you can use your skills & technology to help enable other businesses to achieve their goals.
Role
You will be joining a small team (joining a team of 3, making us a team of 4) as such, you won't "just be a techie". The whole team is customer-facing, and everyone gets involved in all aspects of the business; helping with things like sales questions, writing up quotes, writing blogs and updating our social media accounts where it makes sense. Our roles are structured to make sure that, at any level, we understand the business impact we have when we help our customers.
You need to be comfortable communicating with people at all levels. You'll be working on your own in our office one day, and then as part of a team of 40 at a customer's site the next.
You'll be supporting our customers remotely and on-site, so you'll need a full driving license and your own transport (mileage will be paid at the full HMRC amount).
During your probation period, you’ll be primarily working from the office in Derby (parking will be provided at no cost to you), but going forward you will be able to work from home. All the equipment for your home working station will be provided for you by the company. Please be aware that given the nature of our work, you may still need to travel to a customer site when you’re working from home (and at short notice).
Working Hours
We are currently trialling a 4-day work week, and it’s looking positive.
The salary posted and agreed will be in full (to be clear, it will NOT be pro-rata).
There will be circumstances where you’ll be required to work a 5-day week as part of your salary to cover other team members and for projects. These will be kept to a minimum and arranged as early as possible with you.
Your specific 4-day week pattern will be agreed with you before you join us and will be between 09:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday.
Progression
We're keen for you to take on more responsibility at the right pace and be rewarded for it. Your development plan will cover things like:
- Qualifications & Self-learning initiatives
- Quality Control & Customer Feedback
- Ownership & Self-started responsibilities
- Work Ethic & Attitude
Benefits
As a small team, there is a very real opportunity for career progression as the business & team grow.
Your salary will start between £26,000 and £29,000 per annum depending on your experience and will be reviewed alongside your development plan.
Parking at the office will be provided at no cost to you.
You'll get 26.4 days paid holiday (pro-rata from 33 days at working 5 days a week), which includes all UK Bank Holidays. Be aware, you may be required to work between Christmas & New Year. Typically, this period is covered on an “on call” basis and shared between the team.
After passing your probation (6 months), you can opt in to the company health insurance plan and the gym plan (these are subject to benefit-in-kind taxes).

Tell us about a project you’ve worked on that you’re particularly proud of. Show us what you’re passionate about and what can happen when you’re encouraged to channel that passion.
If we like what you send us, we run a 3-tier interview approach:
- A ~15-minute phone interview to understand a bit more about you and answer any initial questions you have
- A 1:1 interview with the MD

Pay: £26,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
