Leads the day-to-day operations of our Pre Construction Division and responsible for developing and managing logistics strategies that support successful project delivery during the tender and pre-construction phases.
Working closely with the MSK Management Team, the role focuses on identifying logistical challenges, developing innovative solutions, and producing high-quality planning and management documentation to support project bids and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Tender & Pre-Construction Planning
· Support the preparation and submission of competitive tenders.
· Attend client site visits, tender interviews, presentations, and pre-construction meetings, providing logistics expertise and guidance.
· Review project information to identify key logistical constraints, risks, opportunities, and site-specific challenges.
· Develop practical, innovative, and value-engineered logistics solutions that enhance project viability and competitiveness.
· Prepare and contribute to Outline Method Statements and logistics strategies.
Logistics & Traffic Management Planning
· Develop, analyse and produce detailed Logistics and Traffic Management Plans for tender and project requirements including:
- 2D construction drawings
- 3D digital asset visualisations
- 4D construction sequencing, site logistics models, and phasing visuals
· Develop vehicle routing strategies, considering:
o Site access and egress arrangements
o Local highway restrictions
o Pedestrian and cyclist movements
o Public transport routes and infrastructure
o Loading, unloading, and parking constraints
· Carry out Swept Path Analysis, including vehicle manoeuvrability studies and time-lapse assessments.
· Develop mitigation measures for challenging access conditions and high-risk logistics environments.
· Liaise with local authorities, highway officers, and stakeholders regarding project-specific logistics requirements and approvals.
Digital Systems & Project Support
· Operate, implement, maintain, and demonstrate the MSK Delivery Management System.
· Ensure logistics data and project information are accurately recorded and maintained.
· Support project teams in the development and implementation of logistics procedures and best practices.
Health, Safety & Compliance
· Prepare and issue Pre-Construction Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) questionnaires and declarations.
· Compile and issue subcontractor Works Plans and associated compliance documentation.
· Ensure logistics plans align with relevant legislation, industry standards, and client requirements.
· Promote safe, sustainable, and efficient logistics solutions throughout the pre-construction process.
Documentation & Client Communication
· Produce high-quality reports, proposals, presentations, and logistics documentation.
· Issue and maintain client proposals, project information packs, and company brochures.
· Support business development activities through professional documentation and client engagement.
· Maintain clear communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential
· Proven experience within the construction industry, ideally in logistics planning, pre-construction, construction management, or project planning.
· Strong understanding of construction logistics, traffic management, and delivery management processes.
· Good working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and best practices.
· Experience producing logistics plans, method statements, and technical documentation.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable
· Experience working for a Main Contractor, Developer, Logistics Contractor, or Consultancy.
· Knowledge of construction planning software, CAD, BIM, and vehicle tracking/swept path analysis software.
· Understanding of CLOCS, FORS, Construction Logistics Plans (CLPs), and construction logistics requirements.
· Relevant construction, logistics, or project management qualifications.

Pay: £55,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
