Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients. You will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care while adhering to all regulatory standards and best practices within the pharmacy setting.
Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
- Assist in the preparation of medication orders, including counting, measuring, and mixing pharmaceuticals.
- Provide medication administration support and guidance to patients, ensuring they understand their treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate records of all dispensed medications and manage inventory levels effectively.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient care outcomes.
- Address patient inquiries regarding medications, side effects, and proper usage with professionalism and empathy.
- Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with pharmacy operations and medication dispensing processes.
- Knowledge of medication administration practices and patient care principles is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills are required to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Exceptional communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with patients and healthcare team members.
