Now under new ownership, we’re investing in the future of The Pub With No Name. The hands-on owners are passionate about creating something truly special—for our guests and for the team that makes it happen.
We can offer a starting package of up to £30,000 per annum, plus a very generous share of tips, for the right candidate.
Nestled in the Hampshire countryside, our family-run 17th-century inn has built its reputation on warm hospitality, exceptional homemade food, quality real ales and using the very best local produce. Whether it’s a relaxed lunch by the fire, a busy Saturday evening service or one of our renowned Sunday roasts, our guests return because they know they’ll receive honest food, cooked properly, in a genuine country pub. We’re looking for someone who shares that passion.
The Role
We’re looking for a passionate Chef de Partie who wants to be more than just another number in a brigade. You’ll work closely with our Head Chef and Sous Chef, taking ownership of your section while continuing to develop your skills in a supportive, ambitious kitchen.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys cooking with fresh ingredients, takes pride in producing consistently high-quality dishes and wants to grow within a business that’s investing in its future.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Running your section efficiently during preparation and service.
- Preparing and cooking fresh, seasonal dishes using quality local ingredients.
- Working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to maintain consistently high standards.
- Supporting with menu preparation and daily specials.
- Maintaining exceptional food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
- Helping with stock rotation, organisation and reducing waste.
- Supporting and encouraging junior members of the kitchen team.
- Contributing ideas and maintaining a positive, professional attitude.
About You
You’ll be someone who:
- Has previous experience as a Chef de Partie or is a strong Commis Chef ready to take the next step.
- Loves cooking from scratch using fresh produce.
- Takes pride in consistency, presentation and attention to detail.
- Thrives in a busy service and works well under pressure.
- Has a positive attitude and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team.
- Is eager to learn, develop and progress within the business.
- Must be able to reliably commute due to our rural location.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary, depending on experience.
- Excellent tips.
- Staff meals on shift.
- Company pension.
- A supportive, family-run environment where your ideas are valued.
- Ongoing training and genuine opportunities for career progression.
- The chance to work in one of Hampshire’s most characterful country pubs, where quality matters more than quantity.
