We are seeking an ambitious and proactive Skills Manager to join our Adult & Future Skills team. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving the development, growth and quality of our future skills, employability and online learning provision.
Working closely with employers, stakeholders, curriculum teams and funding partners, you will ensure our programmes respond to local skills needs, support economic priorities and deliver outstanding outcomes for learners. You will lead the development of new training opportunities, including employer-responsive provision, commercial courses, bootcamps and adult learning programmes, while managing quality, performance and income targets across the department.
- Leading the growth and delivery of future skills, employability and online learning programmes that respond to local and regional skills needs.
- Managing and developing teams to deliver outstanding teaching, learning, assessment and learner outcomes.
- Working with employers, industry partners, DWP, Jobcentre Plus and other stakeholders to identify workforce skills requirements and develop innovative training solutions.
- Driving business growth, income generation and employer engagement through funded and commercial training opportunities.
- Experience of leading and performance managing teams delivering government-funded training programmes.
- Strong understanding of employability, adult learning, workforce development and future skills agendas.
- Experience managing quality processes, standardisation activity and external quality assurance requirements.
- Level 4 qualification (or above), Level 2 English and Maths, and excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.

College location: Cross College – Based in Eastbourne
Annual salary: Circa £37,000
(Subject to qualifications, skills and experience)
Hours: Full time – 37 Hours/52.14 weeks
