Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Carers to provide high-quality in-home care to clients within their own residences. This role involves supporting individuals with a variety of needs, promoting independence, and enhancing their quality of life. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, patient care, or related fields, and possess a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives. All positions are paid and offer opportunities for professional development within the care sector.
Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised care to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Administer medication safely in accordance with prescribed instructions
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
- Support clients with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other cognitive impairments through behaviour management and specialised care techniques
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation
- Support clients with mobility and transfer needs, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities using company vehicles or their own transport where applicable
- Follow care plans diligently and report any changes in health or behaviour to supervising staff
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home care, hospice, or home care is highly desirable
- Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, and behavioural management techniques is advantageous
- Experience with medication administration and basic first aid skills are preferred
- Familiarity with caring for elderly or disabled individuals, including child or senior care experience, is beneficial
- Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving transportation of clients
- Candidates should demonstrate excellent caregiving skills, patience, empathy, and organisational ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
