Commissioning Manager – Strategic Commissioning and Care Markets (Residential and Nursing Team) | 10883 | fixed term contract/secondment opportunity until 31 December 2027 | 37 hours per week | £50,166 to £54,277 per annum | Grade L | Norwich
We are seeking a Commissioning Manager to work within our Strategic Commissioning function in the Residential and Nursing team. This is a fixed-term role from August 2026 through to the end of December 2027.
In this role, you will contribute to the definition of key commissioning programmes and projects within the portfolio of Residential and Nursing provision, managing these programmes, projects and procurement activity within the authority and in partnership with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
For key programmes and projects, you will play an important role in implementing strategy with a range of internal and external stakeholders, resulting in cost-effective, outcome-driven services for the people of Norfolk.
This is a Norfolk County Council (NCC) led post, but it will also include working alongside a wide range of partners across Norfolk’s health and social care system. This role will require extensive partnership working with other departments and teams across NCC to support the coordination and delivery of a key transformational programme of work focused on Norfolk’s Residential and Nursing provision.
Ideally, you will be educated to degree level in health, care, commissioning or management, or be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of functioning through experience and knowledge. You will have project management experience and experience of working for a large, complex organisation.
