Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Senior Support Worker to join our children’s home team. Duties
- Supervise and support a team of support workers, ensuring high standards of care and professionalism at all times
- Lead the development, implementation, and review of individualized care plans tailored to each child's needs
- Promote positive behavior management strategies and ensure consistent application across the team
- Oversee daily routines, activities, and therapeutic interventions to support children's emotional and social development
- Maintain accurate documentation, including incident reports, care records, and progress notes using IT systems
- Foster effective communication with children, families, external professionals, and team members to ensure coordinated care
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies, health and safety regulations, and quality standards within the home
Skills
- Proven experience in senior care or supervisory roles within a care home or children’s residential setting
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team of support workers
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, families, colleagues, and external agencies
- Knowledge of care planning processes and experience in developing personalized support strategies
- Valid driving license with the ability to transport children safely when required
- Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping, reporting, and communication purposes
- Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism, patience, and resilience

Pay: £35,420.00-£45,150.29 per year
