Enthusiastic Junior Sous Chef , 40 hours over 4 or 5 day week.
Due to growth in our food operation the Lion at Malpas is seeking an additional enthusiastic chef to join our team. The Lion is a successful dining pub in rural Cheshire with 16 boutique bedrooms and a stunning function suite. With a bustling, 7 day a week operation from breakfast to dinner to events, our food revenue is out performing budget and will exceed 700k this year.
Responsibilities:
- maintaining very high standards in the quality of food and presentation in a busy kitchen
- delivering excellent customer satisfaction by ensuring all food is served consistently to the same standard following recipes and specs
- Contributing to a positive, happy working environment
- Ensure that all policies, procedures, standards and guidelines are adhered to receipt and storage of provisions; monitoring stock rotation and ensuring that all food is labelled clearly and correctly
- to work comfortably in all areas of kitchen operation
