Warehouse Operative / Automotive Parts Assistant
Location: Barrow, Suffolk
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (following successful probation period)
Pay: £12.71 per hour (£10.85 per hour for ages 18–21)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 6:00pm

We are a growing family-run business specialising in the import, storage, and sale of new and used vehicle parts throughout the UK and internationally. Due to continued expansion, we are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our team at our site in Barrow, Suffolk.

The Role
As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of our warehouse and parts operation. Working within a small team, you will help ensure stock is processed efficiently and customer orders are fulfilled accurately.
Main Responsibilities
- Picking, packing, and preparing vehicle parts for shipment
- Receiving, sorting, cleaning, and labelling incoming stock
- Photographing vehicle parts for online sales listings
- General warehouse duties and stock organisation
- Assisting customers at the trade counter and over the phone
- Providing excellent customer service
- Supporting warehouse maintenance and organisation
- Assisting with loading and unloading deliveries when required
- Occasionally helping with dismantling and reassembling warehouse racking
What We're Looking For Essential
- Full UK driving licence
- Good level of physical fitness, as heavy lifting is involved
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Basic understanding of workplace health and safety
Desirable
- Previous experience working with vehicle parts
- Knowledge of vehicle makes, models, and components
- Warehouse experience
- Forklift experience or certification
- Experience in customer service or trade counter sales
Full training will be provided for candidates who demonstrate the right attitude and willingness to learn.
