Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £15.00 - £15.50 per hour plus sleep in allowance of £70.00 where applicable
Start Date: ASAP following full safer recruitment process
Rota: 2 days on (48 hours including sleep-ins), 4 days off
About the Opportunity
We have opportunities' to join our team in our children’s homes in Skelmersdale which is a therapeutic, family-style environments built to offer stability, care, and belonging for children with complex needs. This is your opportunity to help shape a nurturing home grounded in compassion, consistency, and trauma-informed practice.
Your Role
As a Therapeutic Care Practitioner / Senior Therapeutic Care Practitioner, you’ll work in your team to provide care and support to children, helping them grow, heal, and thrive.
You’ll:
- Build trusting, nurturing relationships.
- Support emotional regulation through therapeutic approaches.
- Create a safe, structured, and positive home environment.
- Encourage independence, life skills, and confidence.
- Champion safeguarding and reflective practice.
- Lead by example and mentor your team.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking resilient, empathetic, and passionate individuals who believe every child deserves a chance to flourish.
✔ Experience supporting children with complex needs.
✔ Understanding of trauma-informed care.
✔ Calm, nurturing, and reflective approach.
✔ Full UK driving licence.
✔ Leadership experience + relevant Level 3–4 qualification (desirable but not essential as we will support the right candidate through this qualification)
