Duties
- Assist with meal and food preparation, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning dishes according to recipes and standards
- Support the cooking process by following instructions from chefs or kitchen managers to ensure quality and consistency
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, equipment, and storage areas in accordance with food safety regulations
- Help with serving food to guests or staff in a timely and professional manner
- Restock supplies, ingredients, and utensils as needed to keep the kitchen organized and efficient
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to uphold hygiene standards in all aspects of food handling and preparation
- Support catering events or special functions by preparing ingredients or assisting with setup and breakdown
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, catering, or food service environment is highly desirable
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and meal preparation methods
- Familiarity with food safety practices and hygiene standards in a commercial kitchen setting
- Ability to work efficiently under supervision while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting kitchen operations
- Basic understanding of serving procedures and customer service principles is a plus
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings or weekends as required
