Part-time 3 days - Tues, Weds, Thurs 9.00am and 5.15pm in term-time, 4 shorter days during school holidays.

Milby Nursery & Kids' Club is a well regarded setting that has been providing quality care for children since 1998. Our setting is self-contained within the school building with our own outside area and forest school site. MNKC runs the Nursery, before/after School Club and a Holiday Club for primary school aged children. We are a registered charity overseen by a group of volunteer trustees. We are looking for a practitioner that is inspirational, dedicated and demonstrates that children will always be the centre of everything they do.
Candidates must have:
- A full and relevant Level 3 in Early Years and Education (as defined by the Department for Education) May consider Level 2
- Paediatric First Aid Certificate
- An excellent understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection procedures
- Good knowledge of the EYFS, child development and supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to work within a multi-skilled, passionate team
- The skills and adaptability to work with children from 2 years - 11 years of age
Your role will include:
- Acting as a keyperson to a group of children
- Using an online platform to record observations and development summaries
- Supporting children through their learning and development
- Making professional relationships with our Milby families and community
- Providing inspiring activities relevant to children's interests, needs and abilities
- Ensure children are safe and protected from harm, reporting any concerns in the appropriate manner
- Supporting children with special educational needs
- Communicating with school staff, outside professionals and MNKC Trustees etc
