Our wonderful Hope Hall Pre-School is looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Senior Early Years Practitioner to join our leadership team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about outstanding childcare and enjoys supporting colleagues, leading by example and helping to create an exceptional environment for children and families.
About the Role
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week.
As our Senior Early Years Practitioner, you will have your own key group of children, supporting their learning and development while playing an important role in leading the team and maintaining the high standards that Nanny Bears is known for.
Working closely with the management team, you will help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the pre-school, providing guidance, encouragement and support to colleagues while modelling outstanding practice.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a Key Person for your own group of children, building strong partnerships with families.
- Supporting the day-to-day leadership of the pre-school team, leading by example and promoting a positive, collaborative working environment.
- Motivating, mentoring and supporting colleagues to deliver outstanding care and education.
- Planning and delivering engaging, play-based learning experiences in line with the EYFS.
- Supporting children's learning, development and school readiness through meaningful interactions.
- Creating a calm, welcoming and inclusive environment where every child feels safe, valued and inspired.
- Supporting the management team with maintaining high standards of practice, safeguarding and compliance.
- Encouraging creativity, curiosity, independence and confidence throughout the setting.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and families to achieve the best outcomes for every child.

What We're Looking For
Essential
- Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification.
- Previous experience working within an Early Years setting.
- Experience supporting or leading a team, such as a Room Lead or Senior Practitioner.
- Sound knowledge of child development and the EYFS Framework.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A positive, caring and enthusiastic approach.
- Ability to motivate and support colleagues.
- A genuine passion for providing exceptional care and education.
Desirable
- Previous experience in a senior or supervisory role.
- Experience supporting staff development or mentoring colleagues.
- Experience working with children aged 3–5 years.
