Floating Deputy Service Manager for Woking & Effingham Patch

We are looking for an experienced Floating Deputy Service Manager to join our team, providing support across our Woking and Effingham services.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager who enjoys variety and wants to make a positive impact across multiple supported living services. The successful candidate will provide operational support across our five services, working alongside Service Managers and teams to maintain high-quality, person-centred support.
Please note:
- This is a floating role, requiring travel between our services across the Woking and Effingham patch.
- You must be a car driver with access to your own vehicle due to the travel requirements of the role.
- This is a full-time role, and flexibility is required to work evenings and weekends in line with the needs of the service.
- Previous experience at Deputy Manager level within supported living or residential services is essential.

The role
As a Deputy Service Manager, you will provide leadership and support across our services, ensuring safe, effective, and high-quality care is delivered.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Service Managers with the day-to-day running of services.
- Providing leadership and guidance to staff teams across multiple locations.
- Supporting effective shift planning, allocation of duties, and handovers.
- Ensuring services operate in line with organisational policies, CQC requirements, and relevant legislation.
- Promoting person-centred support and ensuring individuals are supported to achieve their goals and maintain independence.
- Supporting staff development through supervision, coaching, and mentoring.
- Assisting with quality monitoring, audits, and service improvements.
- Supporting recruitment, induction, and ongoing development of staff.
- Working collaboratively with families, professionals, and external stakeholders.
- Providing support during incidents, emergencies, and periods of increased need.
What we're looking for
The successful candidate will have:
- A minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Level 4 or 5 desirable).
- Previous experience working at Deputy Manager level within supported living or residential care.
- Experience supporting individuals with: Mental health needs, Learning disabilities & Autism
- Complex support needs and behaviours that may challenge
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and adapt quickly across different services.
- A positive, person-centred approach with a commitment to improving people's lives.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
