Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organised Dental Receptionist to join our NHS, independent, family run dental practice. The ideal candidate will work alongside our reception team, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth operation within the practice and maintaining a welcoming environment for all patients.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures.
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar effectively.
- Handle patient inquiries, both in-person and over the phone, providing accurate information regarding services and procedures.
- Maintain patient records, ensuring all information is up-to-date and confidential.
- Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail.
- Assist with insurance verification and claims processing as needed.
- Ensure the reception area is tidy and welcoming at all times.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the day.
Skills
- Strong administrative skills with experience in an office environment preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Proficient in using office equipment such as computers, printers, and telephones.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail is essential for maintaining accurate patient records.
- A friendly disposition with a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
- Working within a medical environment an advantage
