Job Title: Bar Manager

Hours: Full-time, including evenings and weekends
Salary: £29000-£32000
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Bar Manager to oversee the daily running of our drinks-led bar. No food is served.
The successful candidate will manage the team, maintain excellent customer service, control stock and cash, and ensure the bar operates safely, legally and profitably.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the bar.
- Recruit, train, supervise and motivate bar staff.
- Prepare staff rotas and manage wage costs.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and cleanliness.
- Order stock, check deliveries and complete stocktakes.
- Monitor wastage, stock variances and cellar standards.
- Complete cash-ups and investigate till discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with licensing, health and safety requirements.
- Manage customer complaints and difficult situations professionally.
- Support live music, sports events and bar promotions.
- Work closely with door staff, performers and suppliers.
- Help increase sales and improve the overall customer experience.
Requirements
- Previous bar management or supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of drinks service and bar operations.
- Experience managing staff, stock and cash.
- Good understanding of licensing responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Professional, reliable and confident under pressure.
A personal licence and experience in a live music or entertainment venue would be an advantage.
Pay: £29,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
