We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join a thriving local residential care service. Duties
- Deliver personalized care to residents, assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility with empathy and professionalism
- Supervise and support junior care staff, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure consistent, high standards of care
- Implement and review individual care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure clear understanding of needs and preferences
- Maintain accurate documentation using IT systems for care records, medication administration, and incident reports
- Drive residents to appointments or outings in company vehicles, ensuring safety at all times
- Lead by example in promoting a positive, respectful environment that encourages independence and dignity for all residents
Experience
- Proven experience working in a care home environment with a focus on senior care
- Supervising or leadership experience within a healthcare or social care setting
- Knowledge of developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to use IT systems for documentation and record keeping efficiently
- Valid driving license with experience driving in various conditions preferred but not essential
- Demonstrated caring attitude combined with the ability to supervise staff confidently
