Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and supervising kitchen staff.
- Oversee food production processes to ensure quality and consistency in all dishes.
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficient workflow during service periods.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team atmosphere.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
Experience
- Experience in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
- Background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food production processes.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Previous experience working in high-pressure environments while maintaining attention to detail.
