We are looking for an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to lead our Supported Living Services and help us continue delivering outstanding care and support.
The Role
As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the operational management, quality, compliance, and development of our Supported Living Services across Southampton and Waterlooville.
You will provide strong leadership to Team Leaders and Support Workers, ensuring services are safe, effective, person-centred, and compliant with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain compliance with CQC regulations and relevant legislation.
- Lead, motivate, and develop Team Leaders and Support Workers.
- Ensure high standards of care and support are delivered across all services.
- Oversee safeguarding concerns, incidents, investigations, and risk management.
- Monitor service quality through audits, action plans, and continuous improvement.
- Manage staffing levels, recruitment, induction, supervision, and performance management.
- Build positive relationships with service users, families, professionals, commissioners, and stakeholders.
- Ensure support plans and risk assessments are accurate, person-centred, and regularly reviewed.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Participate in the management on-call rota.
- Promote a positive culture that reflects the values of Chessel Support Services.
Essential Requirements
✔ Previous management experience within Supported Living, Residential Care, or Domiciliary Care
✔ Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding, and health and social care legislation
✔ Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, acquired brain injuries, physical disabilities, mental health needs, and behaviours of concern
✔ Experience managing and developing staff teams
✔ Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
✔ Ability to manage multiple services and priorities effectively
✔ Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes (essential)
✔ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
Desirable
- Previous experience as a CQC Registered Manager
- Experience working with local authorities and commissioners
- Experience managing multiple services or locations
- Experience within supported living environments
