We're looking for a Senior Project Surveyor to join our Managing Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager team based in Darlington / Hebburn.
Location: Darlington / Hebburn
Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Surveyor to join our team and play a key role in managing cost and risk across high-value construction projects. You'll work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards while maintaining excellent financial control from tender through to completion.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Project Surveyor, you'll be working within the Managing Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager team, supporting them in delivering successful project outcomes. Your day to day will include:
- Managing project cash flow and preparing applications for payment to clients
- Negotiating with sub-contractors to achieve best value and assessing returns from the supply chain
- Monitoring actual expenditure against budgets through Cost Value Reconciliation Reports
- Ensuring all variations are costed and logged in line with contract conditions
- Mentoring and supporting junior commercial staff in their development
What are we looking for?
This role of Senior Project Surveyor is great for you if:
- You have experience working on commercial construction projects within a main contracting organisation
- You possess strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contract conditions
- You have a demonstrable track record of delivering high value projects from £20M up to £100M
- You hold a relevant academic qualification such as a Degree, HND or equivalent in Quantity Surveying
- You have a Full driving licence
