Overview
We are seeking a highly detailed and motivated cleaner to join us. We are a family run business which offer a premium standard of cleaning to homes in the Sussex, Surrey & Kent areas. We go a little further than most cleaning companies as we provide specialist cleaning services and additional maintenance as part of our range of services on offer. This means that we don't just clean, we make sure that the house is running as it should be. We go into the detail, like putting drain cleaner down once a month and offering specialist deep cleaning services on top. Our service includes cleaning products which are supplied by our business, however some clients may required you to bring a hoover with you.
Duties
- Clean and tidy designated areas within homes and offices, including; kitchens, bathrooms, living spaces, bedrooms, etc.
- Use appropriate cleaning tools and products to ensure surfaces are hygienic and presentable.
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, dust surfaces, and empty waste bins.
- Restock supplies such as toiletries or cleaning materials as needed.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Occasionally assist with specialised cleaning tasks such as organising storage areas or preparing spaces for events.
- Maintain a professional appearance and behaviour while interacting with clients.
Skills
- Previous experience in cleaning homes is highly desirable but not essential as we provide professional training to our staff.
- Strong customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction and build positive relationships, including recommending other services to clients (only when needed, we do not over-sell to our clients and we provide an honest & reliable service).
- Organised with excellent attention to detail to deliver thorough cleaning services.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently within set timeframes.
- Good physical stamina and mobility to perform cleaning duties effectively throughout the day.
- Ability to strip and make beds is highly desirable but not required on all jobs so not essential.
- Ability to iron to a high standard is highly desirable but not required on all jobs so not essential.
Personal Requirements
- Current DBS - this is required before starting with us as some clients have clauses relating to who can and cannot enter their properties.
- Punctual & reliable - we provide a premium service and we show up when we say we will. In return, we pay you on time, treat you fairly and provide training and development opportunities.
- Hard worker - we pay above the standard rate for cleaners, but in return we expect our staff to work hard and deliver a high standard of service.
- Can work independently and autonomously, as well as part of a team.
- Ability to travel to and from client premises independently, including carrying cleaning supplies with you for some jobs.
We believe in looking after our staff and in fair treatment, which is why we pay a fair wage for the work being conducted. The salary range displayed is correct (we pay from £16.00 to £25.00 per hour - depending on the service being provided, duration and site condition). We provide a premium cleaning service, so a high standard at all times is required - this is why we pay more than a lot of other cleaning companies (we want to recruit and retain the best).
