The Mayfair Pub and Kitchen is an exciting new venue opening in durham, The We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, serving beverages efficiently, and ensuring guests enjoy an exceptional experience. This role offers an opportunity to work in a lively environment, showcasing excellent customer service skills while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards.
- Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and deliver drinks promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area throughout shifts.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service policies.
- Manage cash register operations, including handling payments accurately using basic maths skills.
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
- Engage with guests to create a friendly atmosphere and promote ongoing patronage.
- Assist in setting up for special events or themed nights as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices.
- Excellent serving skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy hours.
- Strong organisational skills with effective time management to handle multiple orders simultaneously.
- Good communication skills and a personable demeanour to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Ability to perform basic maths calculations accurately for billing purposes.
- A positive attitude, reliability, and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
