Altrad are currently looking for experienced Insulation Engineers to join the team at Saltend for site works.
This role will involve working 38 hour weeks Monday - Friday. There is currently 10 hour days on due to outage works.
The position is paid under TICNA agreements (23.45 per hour + £0.80p hourly bonus), travelling labour considered.
The role is fixed term with an end date of 30.09.2026 approx.
Key Deliverables:
- To understand the Altrad Health and Safety policy and ensure the policy is adhered to by all employees.
- Demonstrate effective communication, actively participating with pre-job briefings.
- Ability to work effectively within a team working environment.
- The ability to have a basic understanding and knowledge of Thermal Insulation activities, both theoretically and practically.
- The ability to understand method statements and risk assessments to carryout tasks safely.
- To demonstrate the ability to select the correct Insulation materials and finishes relevant to various applications and changing operational environments.
- Knowledge of the use of tools and equipment and to ensure they are correctly maintained.
- Identify and escalate any significant risks to health and safety and report risks and any defects to the Supervisor and safety teams.
- The ability to remove and Insulation materials and finishes and re-apply in conjunction with the current industry standards (BS: 5970:2012), and in compliance with the Altrad and client procedures and specifications.
- The ability to undertake instruction from the Supervisor and act with professionalism.
- Monitor and maintain good housekeeping, ensuring work areas are kept tidy.
- Report any Accidents, Incidents and Near misses to the Site Supervisor or Site Manager immediately.
Key Requirements / Qualifications:
- Valid TICA Card or Equivalent qualification
- Have a valid CCNSG Safety Passport
- Have previous site experience
