MAG Welder – Exhaust Component Manufacturing
We are looking for an experienced MAG TIG Welder to join a specialist manufacturing team producing high-quality stainless and mild steel exhaust components.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their workmanship and has a strong focus on quality, precision and safety. Experience working with thin-gauge stainless steel in a manufacturing or workshop environment would be particularly beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
- Weld exhaust system components in stainless and mild steel
- Manufacture components to required company quality standards
- Use fixtures and tooling to accurately assemble components
- Complete and sign off relevant job documentation
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
- Follow all company health and safety procedures
- Carry out work accurately and efficiently to production requirements
Experience & Skills
Essential:
- Previous experience using welding techniques and processes
- Experience working within a manufacturing, factory or workshop environment
- Confident using fixtures for component assembly
- Experience welding stainless steel up to 2 mm thick
- Good attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
Desirable:
- Experience with MAG and/or TIG fusion welding
- Basic understanding of weld symbols
- Previous experience manufacturing exhaust or similar thin-gauge components
