We are seeking a motivated and energetic HGV Class 1 Driver to join our night-shift team! As a key player in our logistics operation, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods using a Class 1 Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) during overnight hours. Duties
We are looking for a reliable and experienced HGV Driver to join our night-shift team. The role involves trunking between depots and customer sites, transporting palletised goods safely and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Scheduled deliveries
- Collecting and delivering palletised goods
- Loading and unloading pallets using a pump truck
- Completing vehicle checks and delivery paperwork
- Securing loads and following all road safety requirements
- Providing a professional service to customers
- Keeping the vehicle clean and reporting any defects
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, specifically with flatbed trailers or similar cargo types
- Strong knowledge of driving regulations, safety procedures, and best practices for delivery drivers
- Experience in delivery operations, including loading/unloading and route planning
- Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining high attention to detail and safety standards
- Good physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks when necessary
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatch teams and clients
