Join our dynamic team at socialdice as a Weekend Supervisor and lead our vibrant operations during our busy Saturday and Sunday shifts! This energetic role is perfect for someone with a passion for board games, hospitality, and team leadership.
As a Weekend Supervisor, you will oversee daily activities, ensure smooth front-of-house and back-of-house operations, and maintain exceptional customer service standards. Your love for board games, hospitality skills, and excellent communication will be key to motivating your team and creating a welcoming environment.
Important Note: This is strictly a Saturday and Sunday role (including public holidays that fall on these days, such as New Year's Eve, though we are closed on Christmas Day). If you cannot commit to working both days on the weekend, this is not the job for you.
With socialdice undergoing a massive restructuring in the new year, there is fantastic potential for this role to become permanent following the transition!
Responsibilities
- Supervise weekend venue operations, ensuring a welcoming, smooth, and engaging experience for all guests
- Oversee floor and bar activities, guiding staff to maintain efficiency and top-tier service
- Coordinate with team members to manage table rotations, event flows, and troubleshoot any issues on the floor
- Ensure all staff adhere to safety protocols, licensing laws, and company policies during their shifts
- Share your enthusiasm for board games by recommending titles, explaining rules, and helping customers find their next favorite game
- Communicate effectively with team members, kitchen staff, and management to facilitate seamless operations
- Maintain detailed logs of shift activities, inventory checks, and incident reports
Qualifications & Requirements
- A genuine love for board games is a must! You should be eager to share your enthusiasm and knowledge with our gaming community
- Barista skills preferred for crafting top-quality coffee and hot drinks
- Bar experience preferred for handling drink service and maintaining bar standards
- Kitchen experience preferred to help oversee food preparation and service workflows
- Mandatory weekend availability: Must be able to work every Saturday and Sunday, as well as public holidays falling on these days (note: we are closed on Christmas Day, but other holidays like New Year's Eve are required)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and multitask efficiently during our busiest weekend rushes
Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour
