Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide essential care and assistance to children and young people. The role involves working closely with families, implementing care plans, and supporting children's development in a safe and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be organised, and have experience working with children. Responsibilities
- Assist children with daily activities, including personal care and mobility needs
- Support children in participating in educational, recreational, and social activities
- Implement and follow individualised care plans tailored to each child's needs
- Maintain accurate records of progress, incidents, and care routines
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for children at all times
- Communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and external professionals regarding children's wellbeing
- Drive children to appointments or activities when required, ensuring safety during transportation
- Support the development of communication skills through engaging activities and interaction
Skills
- Experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and team members
- Ability to follow detailed care plans and adapt to individual needs
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and reporting purposes
- Valid driving licence for transportation duties (nice-to-have)
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting children's growth and development
- Must be on the update system for DBS
- This is a full time wake night postion only
Pay: £14.00 per hour
