International Field Service Engineer
PPT Group UK Ltd , are based in two adjoining former textile mills a short distance from Halifax, Town Centre. We Design and Manufacture James Heal Testing Instruments and reference materials predominantly for the Textile Industry. You will be joining our company at an exciting time, we have grown 10% a year for the last four years where we are forecasting growth and continue to expand our global customer base, with exciting opportunities to expand into new markets.
If you are an experienced Field Service Engineer, who has enjoyed providing a high quality service and support solution to Global customers, then this is the opportunity for you! We trade in over 60 countries, with a high our volume of our business located in Asia – this means travelling to places such as Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka and Vietnam: whilst in addition, you will be visiting many of our traditional markets such as Turkey, Germany, USA and the UK.
Aside from global travel, our Engineers are trained to use our bespoke software platforms, which allows the Engineer to provide customer support – from either the UK or remotely, – as well as the production of certificates to confirm a James Heal calibration has taken place. On some occasions, you will be based in our offices in Halifax, providing such services to our global customer base, or supporting our Operational Teams internally.
Full product training will of course be provided.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- First class mechanical, electrical and electronic skills
- Previous experience of and an enthusiasm to travel globally – up to 60% of the calendar year.
- A minimum of an Electro/Mechanical Apprenticeship with HNC/HND level of education or equivalent experience in an engineering subject is required.
- Knowledge of UKAS and/or ISO is desirable
- Written and spoken foreign language skills desirable but not essential
- The ability to demonstrate excellent customer service, ensuring satisfaction is delivered consistently.
- A Flexible and agile approach to the role is essential.
